The Pinehaven Group, LLC and the City of Biloxi are devoted to delivering the citizens of Biloxi and surrounding areas a safe and comfortable environment. As with any new development the need for funding sources, zoning and planning, municipal-level services, public safety services, recreation, employment and housing arise. Pinehaven, through its land use plan, and Biloxi, through its "Service and Facility Plan" , have assessed and addressed each need.
The financial health of the City of Biloxi is strong. By calculating the Biloxi's past annual revenues and expenditures one can derive that the City of Biloxi has experienced a healthy ending fund balance every year since 2003. It has the financial ability to pay for promised improvements and municipal-level services as set forth in its "Services and Facilities Plan" to the entire Pinehaven Development in a timely manner. In addition, the city has numerous financing options available if the need were to arise.
Now under the jurisdiction of the City of Biloxi, Pinehaven Development is subject to Biloxi's Community Development Department's various codes and ordinances. The Community Development Department is responsible for enforcing these codes and ordinances as well as the planning and zoning of : build permitting, building inspections, floddplan management, historic preservation, and federal and state program administration. This department is staffed "top to bottom" and capable of handling any planning issues that may arise within the Pinehaven area.
With regards to public works, the City of Biloxi is committed to providing the full spectrum of public works department services to the entire Pinehaven Development, including municipal-level lighting, streets and draining maintenance, as well as delivering water and sewer infrastructure and maintenance to the Pinehaven Development.
The City of Biloxi has committed to providing Pinehaven Development with the same public safety services as it is providing to the balance of the existing city. Pinehaven will receive a Class 4 fire protection rating. The hiring of additional firemen and police officers will take place to accommodate the additional service area. The purchasing of additional equipment will take place as well. |
